Partner Spotlight:
JDRF Launches New Partnership With White Hat Brands

April 2008 -- JDRF is pleased to announce a new partnership with Atlanta-based children's beverage manufacturer, White Hat Brands, a company providing healthy beverage alternatives for kids. The three-year agreement is based on White Hat Brands' Dog On It! line of vitamin fortified juice beverages made with all natural ingredients. Dog On It! products contain no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial sweeteners, and no artificial flavors or colors offering nutritious beverage options for kids ages 6 and up.  These beverages are loaded with vitamins A, B, C, D & E and are an excellent source of calcium.  

White Hat Brands is dedicated to becoming a leading force in the growing movement promoting health and wellness for children.  Additionally, they are committed to providing nutritious, low sugar beverage products that complement the diet of the type 1 child as well as help to combat both childhood obesity and type 2 diabetes among pre-teens.  White Hat will do this by creating products and messages that kids embrace in addition to addressing parents' aims to satisfy the nutritional needs of their children. 

The three-year co-brand royalty partnership includes a minimum cash donation of $300,000 with upside potential of $600,000 based upon percentage of retail product sales over the term of the agreement. In addition, White Hat Brands will donate nearly $80,000 in product to select "Walk to Cure Diabetes" events and outreach activities across the country. 

Through White Hat Brands consumer marketing efforts, the JDRF logo will be prominently featured every bottle and secondary package of Dog On It! fortified juice beverage.  Currently the product is sold in major grocery chains throughout the northeast, including Shaw's, Big Y, Foodtown and Kings to name a few - and coming soon to Shop Rite, Pathmark, King Kullen and Roche Bros. 

White Hat Brands consumer marketing support includes retail promotions, product sampling, event sponsorships, public relations, advertising and interactive marketing, all of which will reflect the partnership with JDRF.  White Hat's trade communication plan includes an aggressive campaign synchronizing public relations efforts and print advertising across leading industry publications to promote the JDRF/WHB partnership.
