San Francisco Walkers – thank you!

A picture perfect day! Here is a recap of the Walk and a link to photos:

What a spectacular day for JDRF’s Walk to Cure Diabetes at the Great Meadow, Fort Mason, on Sunday, October 28, 2012. More than 1300 adults, kids, friends, family members…and canine pals…came together for a day in the San Francisco sun and for a very special cause: to celebrate everyone’s successful efforts to raise funds to find a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D).

With a perfect view of the bay and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, teams of people walked and ran 3 miles, making quite a presence and statement. Folks then stuck around for lively entertainment by resident SF swing band, Slim Jenkins, delicious sandwiches from Asqew, and fun on the meadow. Adults took advantage of the Walktoberfest Beer Garden for tasty skewers and a beer or glass of wine!

To date, over $325,000 has been raised to support T1D research! There is still time to donate and help us meet our goal. Just click here. Thank you to everyone who came out to supported this tremendous effort.

Check out all the photos from the day.
