T1D Looks Like Me Talk- Don’t Sweat It! T1D & Exercise

Do you have type 1 diabetes (T1D) or care for someone who does?  Join us at this event to learn about the benefits and challenges of exercise while managing T1D. We will explore the environmental, dietary, physiological and psychosocial elements that impact physical activity in people with T1D. You’ll come away understanding how to plan for and manage different types of activity safely and successfully. This FREE event is open to all ages. Presenter Bio

Tariq Ahmad, MD, is an expert in endocrinology, which includes endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disease, obesity, growth hormone disorders, optic nerve hypoplasia, pituitary tumors, and adrenal insufficiency. Dr. Ahmad specializes in adolescent growth problems, including pubertal issues, thyroid problems, and childhood diabetes.
