As graduation, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, National Volunteer Week and more approach—a time of year known for celebrating and showing appreciation for loved ones – we’d like to pause and take a moment to say thank you for being our greatest supporters.
Thank you to the moms and dads, families and friends, coaches, nurses and everyone else who support people with T1D.
Thank you to the other organizations working toward ways to cure, prevent and better treat T1D, as well as those providing support to the community and those advocating for access to treatment options and resources.
We know we are not in this alone. The collective effort of the T1D community, fellow non-profits, universities, research organizations, technology and medical companies and many more over the last 40 years has driven us toward safer and better outcomes for those living with T1D. The progress we’ve seen is a direct result of our dedicated supporters—donors, fundraisers, advocates and volunteers are the backbone of JDRF.
Over the next few months, we will be sharing stories of our greatest supporters and look forward to hearing your #MyGreatestSupporter stories, from the people in your life who lift your spirits as you live with or help care for someone with T1D, to the technology and care advancements that have helped you live a better life with T1D.
Look out for special messages and requests for your stories on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter during National Volunteer Week (April 23–29), and on National Nurses Day (May 6), Mother’s Day (May 14), Best Friends Day (June 8), and Father’s Day (June 18).
Thank you as well to our partners who are some of our greatest supporters, consistently rallying their teams to raise money for JDRF year after year. This year, J. Crew joins us on Saturday, April 22 in select stores, where a portion of proceeds will go to JDRF. You can learn more here.
We look forward to you joining us as we say thank you to our greatest supporters. We can’t wait to learn more about the people who support you!
