DOUBLE YOUR DOLLARS FOR DIABETES CHALLENGE: NOVEMBER 1, 2016

In honor of the start of 2016 National Diabetes Awareness Month the Central Pennsylvania Chapter, in partnership with Fry Communications, is hosting a “Double Your Dollars for Diabetes” Challenge in an effort to make one last fundraising push to help us reach our $275,000 fundraising goal for the 2016 Harrisburg One Walk.

How the challenge works: Every dollar raised between 12:00am -11:59pm on Tuesday, November 1st, will be matched by Fry Communications up to $10,000.00.

Will the money donated to my walk team during this time frame be matched? YES! JDRF will track all donations made to all walk teams between 12:00am-11:59pm, each donation made to any walk team during this time frame will be matched, up to $10,000. Your team will be soft credited the match to every donation made to your team within this time period.

Example: John Doe donated $25.00 to Team Type None

Fry Communications match to John Doeā€™s Donation: $25.00

Total donation credited to Team Type None on behalf of John Doe: $50.00

How do I let others know about this challenge? The JDRF Central PA Chapter will post about the challenge to their Facebook page, which you are able to share to your own Facebook page to let all of your friends know about the challenge. You can find our chapter Facebook page by searching ā€œJDRF Central PA Chapterā€.

We have also created a templated email for you to send to all of your contacts to notify them of the challenge and communicating what their donation would mean to you and to the rest of the JDRF community. Please find the templated emailĀ here.

What if I donā€™t have a walk team? You can still donate! Follow the link to the Team Type None walk team page, where those who do not have a walk team can still donate to help find a cure for T1D!

*Be sure to click the orange ā€œDonateā€ button, then when it prompts you to ā€œSelect a Team Memberā€ be sure to click ā€œMake a General Team Donationā€.

All money raised will help fund groundbreaking research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes and help turn type one into type NONE!
