Karen is a driven and enthusiastic professional who brings close to 10 years of development experience to JDRF.
A Mechanicsburg native, Karen began her career in development at Trinity High School in Camp Hill, PA as the Director of Admissions, spearheading recruitment initiatives and analyzing trends to boost enrollment for the private school. Karen possesses a vast amount of experience in outreach, relationship building, community engagement, recruitment, and budgeting.
At the Central Pennsylvania Chapter Karen currently oversees all 3 chapter One Walks as well as the Brewser Adventure Race.
Karen currently resides in Mechanicsburg, PA with her husband, three children, and dog.

Senior Development Coordinator
MaryAnn is a passionate and well-rounded professional with over 10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, volunteer management, and event coordination.
An upstate New York native, MaryAnn attended the State University of New York at Geneseo where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business with a concentration in Finance. Following college, MaryAnn spent some time working as a financial analyst and in the banking industry prior to being a “stay at home Mom”. She supplemented her Mom status by volunteering for various nonprofit organizations.
MaryAnn started working at JDRF in 2012 and has been the lead on the chapter’s annual Gala, which has quickly become the most successful nonprofit charitable gala in the Harrisburg area. Additionally, she assists with The Elegance at Hershey, the fifth largest third party event fundraiser in the country for JDRF.
MaryAnn currently resides in Hummelstown, PA with her husband, three children and two dogs. She enjoys gardening, vacationing at the beach and spending time with her family.
Development CoordinatorLauren Wilcox Bio
Lauren is a highly motivated and energetic development professional with a passion for furthering the mission of JDRF.
Lauren is a 2014 graduate of the York College of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in English with a minor in Marketing Communications. She is currently pursuing her Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the State University of New York at Purchase. Lauren entered the nonprofit sector in 2015 and has been working for JDRF since 2016.
At JDRF Lauren currently oversees volunteer recruitment and management for all chapter events, the chapter Outreach Program, Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes, Ride to Cure Diabetes, and all Third Party Events.
In her spare time Lauren enjoys taking walks with her dog, spending time with family & friends, and visiting family in Pennsylvania and New York. Lauren currently resides in York, PA with her fiancé Ryan and her dog Teddy.
