The JDRF Delaware Chapter is excited to welcome the newest members of our Board of Directors and team. Our board members are vital to the success of our chapter, and we’re thrilled to have these wonderful new additions to our team!
Paul Loomis, Chapter Board President
Select Breeder Services
Paul and his wife Eileen have been involved with JDRF for many years, having attended the Hope Ball, participated in live and silent auctions and always supporting Fund A Cure. They participated in Walks alongside their son, who was diagnosed T1D at the age of 8. However, Ride to Cure is Paul’s true passion. He has served as the Delaware Chapter’s Ride Champion for the past two years and helped grow the team from two to 13 riders. Paul commented that disease has had a tremendous impact on their family and he has seen firsthand how difficult that an entire family can struggle as a result. Paul and Eileen also have two other older sons, whose wives also have a family history with T1D. Paul hopes to do whatever he can to help find a cure for T1D so that his son, and potentially his grandchildren as well as other families impacted by T1D, do not have to struggle with this terrible disease.

Having grown up in Wilmington, Jessica has been an active community member, involved with various non-profits over the years. Fresenius Medical Care
Ari and his family have been involved with JDRF for five years. They have participated in the JDRF Walk, Hope Ball, Ace for the Cure and Chip for the Cure. Ari has been a Vice President with Fresenius Medical Care for the past 13 years. Prior to that he held leadership positions with Lourdes Medical Center for 2 years, Virtua Health 5 years and Magee Rehab Hospital for 15 years. Ari earned his MBA in Healthcare Administration from St. Joseph’s University. He also has a BS in Nursing and BA in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. Ari is married to Linda, and they have two children (Ryan-17 and Ashley-15) at Wilmington Friends School. Ryan has been living with T1D since 2013. The caring and support we’ve received from the T1D community has helped our entire family learn how to best manage living with this challenging disorder. JDRF is a wonderful vehicle to promote and extend the community beyond those personally touched by T1D. We are committed to working together to help others learn to “live their lives while managing their diabetes” while supporting the efforts to find a cure and learn how to prevent T1D.
