dedicated to finding a cure

Mary's friends express their love and admiration on the occasion of her 70th birthday year.

For 23 years now, no one has done as much to advance the JDRF mission as International Chairman Mary Tyler Moore. To recognize all that she has given to JDRF and to celebrate her 70th birthday year, JDRF has created the "Forever Moore" research initiative in her honor.

The "Forever Moore" research initiative will support JDRF's Academic Research & Development and Clinical Development programs, whose purpose is to do all the things that science and experience tell us we must to quickly translate basic research advances into new, life-changing treatments and cures for people with type 1 diabetes and its complications. Mary calls this turning "promising research" into "promises kept" to our loved ones with type 1.

The "Forever Moore" research initiative was unveiled in a surprise announcement in November at the 35th Annual Promise Ball of the New York City Chapter, where Mary was honored for her unmatched dedication to finding a cure. Funds raised that evening have been directed to the new initiative, and JDRF is reaching out to others within the JDRF family to add their support of this mission critical effort. We hope you will consider joining us in saluting Mary in this way. Supporting the "Forever Moore" initiative is a wonderful way to thank Mary for her contributions while strengthening JDRF's Academic Research & Development and Clinical Development programs that will turn promising research into your promises kept.

Please join us in thanking Mary Tyler Moore for her ongoing commitment to finding a cure. Your donation will help us fund research vital to accelerating the discovery, development, and delivery of life-changing new therapies and cures to all those suffering from type 1 diabetes and its complications.
