The Georgia Chapter invites you to join us in 2018 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes program. As one of the fastest growing programs within JDRF, the Ride isn’t just a bike ride: it’s where riders of all ages and skill levels come together to make new friendships, experience unparalleled camaraderie and raise money to find a cure for T1D. With 6 incredible event locationsĀ to choose from, the 2018 season is not one you will want to miss!

2018 Ride Season Kickoff: On Sunday, January 21st from 2-4 pm, the Georgia Chapter Ride Committee will be hosting a 2018 Season Kickoff Event. At the Kickoff, attendees will hear from JDRF staff, coaches and veteran riders who will share information about fundraising, training, event locations and the Ride program experience. We invite you to join us to learn more about Ride and how your participation can help us create a world without T1D.

Meet the Schwartz Family

One thing that makes the Ride program so special at the Georgia Chapter is that the team is a family. Not only do riders form a tremendous bond with their teammates, but they also share the experience with members of their own families.

For the past several seasons, Ted Schwartz has participated in the Ride program. In 2017, his wife (Cheryl) and son (Blake) decided to join him for the Amelia Island event. Together, they completed the ride and raised over $11,000 ā€“ making them the top fundraising family on the Georgia Team in 2017. To learn more about their story and why they Ride, click here.
