The JDRF Georgia Chapter Annual Meeting & Luncheon will be held on June 27, 2017, 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM, at Capital City Club in Brookhaven.
The JDRF Research to Reality Leadership Award will be presented to JDRF-funded, Georgia Tech Mechanical Engineering Professor, Andres J. Garcia, PhD, for his pioneering work in the development of synthetic hydrogels for beta cell encapsulation. He will share remarks about his research.
The program will also include volunteer recognition, a salute to Georgia’s 2017 Children’s Congress representatives, board elections, and a preview of upcoming JDRF events. Lunch will be served. Business casual attire. Open to all JDRF supporters.
