The JDRF Greater Iowa Chapter is excited to announce that the application for our 2018-2019 Youth Ambassador Program is now open!

Our Youth Ambassador Program is a program for 5-18 year olds with type 1 diabetes (T1D) that are willing to share their story and experience for others to gain a better understanding of the disease and its complications. The goal of this program is to share with our community firsthand why we fundraise for a cure.

Chosen Ambassadors will begin their responsibilities on July 1, 2018 and end June 30, 2019. Responsibilities and their respective dates are outlined on the application. These responsibilities include helping steward corporate partners, participating in our One Walk, acting as a Ride Ambassador for our Greater Iowa Team Riders, providing a silent auction basket for our Gala, and participating in the Ambassador Photo-shoot.

This program is a great opportunity for more involvement within JDRF, will look great on a college application, provide service hours, give experience for Children’s Congress, and will help our community better understand T1D.
