200 To Go…Wait, I Mean 199…198…

Lately, you’ve been hearing a lot about our halfway goal for the Promise Campaign, which is 250 meetings scheduled or held by the end of December. However, we can’t forget that our overall goal is what is most important!

As you have heard many times on this blog, our main goal for the Campaign is to schedule 432 meetings by May 1. I came into the office this morning to find that our meeting count was up to 232, meaning we have hit the crucial milestone of only needing 200 more meetings to reach that goal! Every time I tried to write up a blog post to celebrate reaching this point, our meeting count would go up. I am excited to say that as of this afternoon, 235 meetings have been scheduled or held, so we only need 197 more to reach 432!

I am continually amazed at the pace of the Promise Campaign this year, and reaching this milestone so quickly is truly a testament to the hard work of volunteer advocates like you across the country. We could not have done it without you, and I know that your persistence will lead us to attaining our goal. So, on behalf of all of us here at JDRF Advocacy, thank you tremendously for your tireless efforts on behalf of all of those affected by type 1 diabetes!

Does reaching this milestone inspire you as it does me? If so, and you are not sure how you can help, send me an email at advocacy@jdrf.org, and we will make sure to get you started on how you can best help with the Promise Campaign efforts. Remember, we need YOU for 432!
