December is finally here and with it a little chill in the air and the promise of a new day and new year. While this past year has brought us change, challenges and hardships, it has also presented us with hope and new opportunities. From a storm, new friendships were formed and safety was provided; with new opportunities, learnings took place and new visions were formed; and from your efforts, breakthroughs were made and hope was given.

So, while we’re excited to welcome in 2018, we’d first like to thank each of you for all that you’ve done to make 2017 as great as it’s been. From events to outreach to advocacy, you’ve all played such a critical role in helping us advance our mission and research.

Looking forward, we are optimistic of the year to come and the opportunities, and even challenges, it will bring. Together we will rise up and meet them all and with your help, we know 2018 will surpass any before and get us closer to a day when type one becomes type none.
