Young Leadership Committee (YLC) Hosts First Speaker Series Geared Towards Young Professionals

Dan Steiner & Kelley Champ Crumpler, speakers

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Young Leadership Committee’s (YLC) first speaker series event “Adulting with Type 1” on Thursday, February 15th. This regularly scheduled happy hour style event featured two engaging speakers focused on living with type one diabetes as a young adult. The speaker series, which will continue throughout the year, will aim to educate the young professional community on type 1 diabetes (T1D) related topics that are of interest and also specific to the age group in general. The first event was held in the upstairs private dining space of Museum District eatery Lucille’s and featured words from Dan Steiner, who leads a monthly support group for adults living with T1D and Kelley Champ Crumpler, who specializes in adolescents and young adults with T1D and in the management of endocrine disorders in pregnancy.
