These children living (and thriving!) with Type 1 diabetes, ranging in ages from 6-17, welcomed our Gala patrons with such poise and helped put a face to a disease that the majority of the population aren’t even aware of yet. In addition to help greeting guests, they assisted in the ballroom with awards presentations, the live auction, Fund A Cure experience and auction puppy duty. They handled themselves with such sophistication at the black tie event. Thank you to the parents who assisted with the Ambassador Program before and during Gala as well!

This year, one of our Ambassadors, Sydnie Elise Stephens-Broussard was actually the Houston Gulf Coast Chapter’s featured family for the Fund A Cure video. When asked what her favorite part of being a JDRF Gala Youth Ambassador is, Sydnie responded
