Youth Ambassadors

The JDRF Illinois Youth Ambassador Program consists of young leaders with T1D that represent JDRF in their communities, engage their peers, strengthen JDRF’s mission, and encourage participation in JDRF Illinois’ programs and events.

The JDRF Illinois Youth Ambassador Program invites young leaders, age 7-18 with type 1 diabetes (T1D), to represent JDRF in their communities and help raise awareness of the JDRF vision of a world without T1D. These 20 students engage their peers, strengthen JDRF’s mission and encourage participation in JDRF Illinois’ programs and events. They all share a positive outlook on T1D, passion for the JDRF mission, and willingness to work toward a cure.

If you have any questions about the JDRF Youth Ambassador Program or would like a Youth Ambassador at your JDRF event or fundraiser, please contact Lindsey Riley at lriley@jdrf.org. Applications for the 2018 JDRF Youth Ambassador Program will be available late fall 2017.
