Welcome to the Piedmont Triad Chapter

Many Faces, One Mission

If diabetes affects your life, you've come to the right place. In the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is a force for finding a cure and a forum for connecting individuals and families with a common concern. Through the contributions of a small professional staff and hundreds of committed volunteers, we organize events that educate the community about the disease and raise funds for a cure for type 1.

These are the faces of people who are united in the need for finding a cure.

INSPIRED TO FIND A CURE FOR DIABETES

The Piedmont Triad Chapter was founded in 1994 after Leslie Anne Hummel rode her bicycle across the country and raised over $65,000 for diabetes research in honor of her sister Elizabeth. Learn more...

With your help, we are moving research from the laboratory bench to the patient's bedside, translating scientific advances into longer, healthier lives for those with diabetes. With your help, we are moving closer to our goal ... a cure for diabetes and its complications.
