Partner Spotlight:  Boston's Restaurant Chain - Giving a "Pizza Their Heart" to JDRF!
JDRF to benefit from sale of heart-shaped pizzas and paper love notes at Boston's Restaurant locations across the U.S. 2009 brought JDRF a new three-year partnership with Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar, a contemporary, sit-down family dining establishment with a separate sports bar customized with local team memorabilia. Boston's has had a lengthy history with JDRF Canada having given just shy of $1M since their partnership began. Boston's of Canada raises money for its cause partners through the sale of specialty heart-shaped pizzas and paper hearts at its various locations. Building on the tradition begun by its parent company, Boston's Restaurant & Sports Bar launched its own Valentine's Day promotion in the U.S. in 1999 as a way to help raise much needed funds for local charities. Over the past three years, Boston Pizza Foundation has donated over $280,000 to local charities. Starting in 2009 and for the next three years, Boston's is proud and excited to team up with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to support its efforts to fund vital research to find a cure for diabetes.

From February 12 to February 14, each Boston's store will sell the heart-shaped pizzas guests have come to love during this most romantic of seasons, with $1 from the sale of each pie donated to JDRF. In addition, between January 26 and February 15, guests will be able to purchase paper hearts for $1 each and personalize the hearts with Valentine's Day messages to their loved ones. These public declarations of love will hang in the store until the end of the promotion.
