WELCOME TO THE HUDSON VALLEY JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Thanks to everyone who supported Cumulus Broadcasting's Roof-a-Thon to benefit JDRF!

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) was founded in 1970 by parents of children with type 1 or juvenile diabetes.  They understood that managing juvenile diabetes was not the answer.  The only acceptable answer - cure it.  And they also understood that only intensive research would yield a cure.  The essential fundraising work to fund this critical research is conducted at the chapter level.

The Hudson Valley Branch is one of three branches that make up the Northeastern New York Chapter.  The Albany Branch is located in East Greenbush, NY and the Greater Adirondack Branch is located in Glenns Falls, NY.  The region's thousands of supporters and three branch boards provide a significant amount of funding to support research.

JDRF has awarded more than $1.16 billion to diabetes research, including more tha $137 million in FY2007.  JDRF funds more diabetes research than any other non-profit, non-governmental organization in the world.  In FY2005, JDRF funded 500 centers, grants, and fellowships in 19 countries.

You can help by supporting one of our signature events, or participate in one of our many volunteer opportunities.  If you would like more information about the Hudson Valley Branch, please call the office at 845.297.8600.
