There are several things you can expect at each JDRF Long Island event - fun, good friends, a good cause and... Allison Pye. For more than seven years, Allison has been taking the wonderfulpictures that appear on this website, in our newsletter and the local media.
Allison is a native Long Islander; she has been taking pictures since she was 10 years old. She studied photography at Southampton College. After a brief career in insurance, Allison knew that her photography was more than a hobby. She started to train with local studios and formed her own company. She is a popular photographer for weddings, events and major Long Island happenings.
Allison is very fond of the people at JDRF; she loves taking pictures of our kids and volunteers. She says she sees firsthand what a group of dedicated people can accomplish. She has seen the Walk to Cure Diabetes grow into the tremendous success it is now and she always has lots of fun taking the team pictures.
When not taking pictures for JDRF, Allison enjoys photographing old cars and boats. She says she can really see the history of these objects. To view Allison's work, and even pictures from past JDRF events, please visit www.allisonpyephotography.com.
