These are just a few of the faces of the more than 4,000 people in Westchester County, New York, who have Type 1 diabetes. Walk to Cure Diabetes
October 18th

Sunday, October 18, 2009, 8:30am-Noon
White Plains High School, White Plains, NY
The Walk to Cure Diabetes is a fun family-friendly event that features plenty of entertainment, food and kids' activities such as a Live DJ, pumpkin painting, giant inflatable castle, hay rides, and much more. All funds go to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, whose mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications.

This year's walk will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the White Plains High School in White Plains, NY. Registration starts at 8:30, walk begins at 9:30 a.m., and activities run from 8:30am to 12:00 noon. Individuals that have an interest in, or have a loved one with diabetes, can register online at Click here to Register for the White Plains, NY Walk to Cure Diabetes. Our online resources can help you raise more money with sample letters, an email, a video campaign "how to" guide and a lot of great tips for other fundraising ideas. We encourage kids and their families to come in costume, kids will have the opportunity to trick or treat around the walk venue.
