Designs must be submitted by kids with juvenile diabetes, ages 5-18.
Kids can submit just one design
Design submissions must include both elements of the car - the hood and the body of the race car.
Design elements should continue around the logos on the body of the race car.
Design must be hand drawn (not created on the computer).
Kids can use any creative tools they choose for their design, i.e. crayons, paint, colored pencils, stickers, etc.
Design must not include profanity or inappropriate designs. Designs containing such images/text will not be posted.
The top five designs with the highest bids will be determined on Friday, August 14 at 6:00 PM EDT.
The top five designs with the highest bids will be provided to Ford Motor Company's Customer Service Division to determine the winning design.
The winning design will be notified on Monday, August 17.
Winner Will Receive:
Their design transformed from a piece of paper to the entire body of Bob Tasca III race car!!
A trip to Concord, NC for the NHRA Carolinas Nationals race weekend on September 17-18, 2009 for the child designer and his/her two parents/guardians.
Winner and family will participate in the unveiling of the race car on September 17 and be a guest of the Ford Motor Company's Customer Service Division team at the NHRA Carolinas Nationals race weekend on September 18.
Flight, hotel, rental car and NHRA Carolinas Nationals race weekend tickets provided by Ford Motor Company's Customer Service Division.
How To Vote/Bid For Your Favorite Design
Starting at 8:00 AM EDT on July 1, 2009 all submitted designs will be posted on the this website (www.jdrf.org/ford)
Family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, race fans, EVERYONE is invited to visit the site and vote for their favorite design.
Voting is done by bidding a dollar amount for your selected design through use of a credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa accepted.)
The minimum bid is $1. There is no maximum bid.
You can bid as often as you like.
The top five designs with the highest dollar amount bids at the close of the contest (August 14, 2009 @ 6:00 PM EDT) will be provided to Ford Motor Company for judging and selection of the ultimate winner.
All funds raised for the designs submitted within each chapter will go directly back to your chapter.
If you submitted a design, please check with your chapter to determine how to ensure the funds raised from your child's design go toward your Family Fundraising Total.
