Have you ever just wanted to reach out and talk to someone in your community
who understands living with Type 1 (TD1) diabetes just like you and your family?

After logging into Facebook, you only need to click the button that says
"request to join" and very shortly you'll be admitted as a member of the group.

Zip the Cure was originally created by 17 year old Monica Oxenreiter from
Pittsburg, PA. Monica was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was
13 months old. Three years later, her older brother, John, was diagnosed
at the age of 8. In 2005, both Monica and John were Pennsylvania delegates
for the JDRF Children's Congress. They were so inspired by the event that
they decided to do even more for JDRF. That's when Monica developed
Zip the Cure as her way of helping to cure diabetes one zip code
at a time! Visit the Zip the Cure web site in honor of Monica.

With your help, we are moving research from the laboratory bench to the patient's bedside, translating scientific advances into longer, healthier lives for those with diabetes. With your help, we are moving closer to our goal ... a cure for diabetes and its complications.
