As 2017 comes to a close, I want to thank you- the donors and volunteers who have contributed to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D). You shared your personal stories of living with T1D through your JDRF One Walk pages, as Ambassadors for JDRF Dream Gala and One Walk, via social media for National Diabetes Awareness Month, and countless other ways that inspired others to make impactful gifts to help your loved ones be one step closer to a cure.

Research is accelerating rapidly because of your support. Just 10 years ago, five JDRF funded clinical trials were taking place and today there are more than 70 JDRF funded clinical trials. These numbers are impressive, but the real value is improved outcomes for you and your loved ones living with this disease. Congratulations to each of you for an incredible 2017.
