Imagine Gala Raises Over $1.1 Million
On April 22nd in the historic grand ballroom of the Beverly Hilton, several hundred of L.A.’s top industry leaders and celebrities gathered to recognize advances in the fight against type 1 diabetes (T1D) at the 14th annual JDRF Imagine Gala. Gala attendees enjoyed an incredible evening that included intimate performances by Andra Day and Hailee Steinfeld and a speech by Usher. The Honoree Award was presented to Max Harris, son of philanthropist, T1D advocate and music producer, James “Jimmy Jam” and Lisa Harris. The Spirit Award honored Rabbi Harvey J. Fields, who presided over Los Angeles’ oldest synagogue, Wilshire Boulevard Temple for 18 years, and had T1D since the age of 16.

With a silent and live auction full of exclusive items along with JDRF’s tax-deductible “Fund a Cure” program in which one hundred percent of proceeds go directly to T1D research, the Gala was a success, raising over 1.1 million dollars.
