The purpose of the Promise to Remember Me (Promise) campaign is to continue building and developing relationships locally with your Members of Congress by sharing your personal type 1 diabetes (T1D) stories. There is no substitute for Members and staff hearing, first-hand, what life is like with T1D and the importance of furthering research to help cure, treat and prevent T1D.

Across the country, advocates like you will be coordinating meetings with their national lawmakers. These meetings, and the relationships you develop with these legislators, are the reason that JDRF is one of the most effective advocacy organizations in Washington, D.C.
