Please join us as we gather together to fund type 1 diabetes research at the 2018 JDRF Hope Gala, Past. Present. CURE. This year's Hope Gala will feature a cocktail reception, seated dinner and auction followed by the After-Party where guests can enjoy drinks, late night bites and dueling pianos.
This year’s silent auction will again be fully electronic via your smartphone. Once your contact information is received you will be sent a text message with your personal Bid Pal link. Simply click the link to launch the app and bid early and often right from your smartphone! If you do not have a smartphone, Bid Pal Concierge staff will be available at the event to assist you with bidding.
Ways to Give
Fund A Cure
Fund A Cure immediately follows the Live Auction portion of the evening. Fund A Cure is an opportunity to make an impact on the lives of people living with T1D and their loved ones through a 100% tax-deductible donation, which will accelerate life-changing research. Fund A Cure donations will be invested in JDRF’s effective and focused research agenda aimed to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until there is a cure.
– Children (and parents) sleep through the night without fear
– An intelligent pump eliminates dangerous high and low blood sugars
– A single daily injection maintains tight control with no carb counting
– Those with T1D can live insulin free for up to 24 months
– You no longer worry that a loved one will develop T1D
– There is no carb counting, no injections, no testing… no T1D
JDRF isn’t just imagining such a future. We are making it happen. Last year, through Fund A Cure, JDRF directed more than $23 million to research.
Click here for Corporate Partner Opportunities Information The Hope Gala is the platform to publicly acknowledge our community partners. The event will attract 400-450 guests. It is a fun evening with a serious purpose. Our goal at the 2018 Hope Gala is to raise more than $400,000 for research to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs for type 1 diabetes on the way to finding a cure for this disease.
The need is great and Mississippi is significantly impacted. An estimated 289,100 people in the state have diabetes; as many as one third of these cases are undiagnosed. Costs are increasing and the incidence rate of type 1 and type 2 diabetes is also on the rise. Better treatments and ultimately prevention and a cure drive the research that JDRF funds.
We need your support! Please consider participating in this event through a sponsorship. Help JDRF continue to improve the lives of children and adults living with T1D, and ultimately find a cure. Your support is vital to our fundraising efforts—thank you for helping us turn Type One into Type None. Click here to become a Corporate Sponsor.

Over 20 years ago, a small group of parents shared a common goal, to find a cure for diabetes. Their conviction and determination built the cornerstone for JDRF Mississippi Chapter. The mission was clear – fund research. Please join us in commemorating our 20th Anniversary of the Mississippi Chapter by honoring three founding families, Betsy and Kane Ditto, Ellen and Eason Leake and Lisa and Jack Reed, Jr. for their work for the many children and families in Mississippi who live with type 1 diabetes.
