| On April 22 in the historic Memorial Auditorium in Downtown Sacramento more than 300 people gathered to recognize advances in the fight against type 1 diabetes (T1D) at the JDRF One Party Gala. Gala attendees enjoyed an incredible evening that included an exciting silent and live auction and a live performance of three portraits by world-renowned performance painter David Garibaldi. The evening’s Honoree award was presented to former MLB player and Sacramento native, Greg Vaughn for his passion, dedication, and contributions to JDRF. The Emcee for the evening was Mark S Allen from ABC 10, who brought great energy to the night’s program. The Gala Chair was Maribeth Eggleston who helped orchestra a phenomenal Gala evening. The Fund A Cure portion of the evening was led by Clara Lee who gave a heartfelt Fund A Cure speech to the guests.
Our generous supporters raised more than $290,000 for T1D research at the One Party Gala! Your support of JDRF is making a difference in the lives of so many living with T1D.
