Interior Design Volunteer Opportunity

The New York City Chapter is seeking a volunteer to redecorate the chapter office to create an inspiring space that fully reflects JDRF’s mission to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.

Qualifications:

  • Visual design experience, preferably in an office environment.
  • Willingness to work on budget and secure funding.
  • Appropriate for graphic design students, interior designers, architects,  and retirees.

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Visit the National office at 26 Broadway for inspiration and ideas.
  • Create a budget-friendly set of ideas for re-marketing and branding the office space.
  • Seek out in-kind and/or financial support as needed to fund the project.
  • Implement the plans (including take downs, generation of new materials, or procurement of existing graphics and installation.)
  • Assessment and appraisal of current decor/artwork for purposes of sale and/or donation.
  • Host an “unveiling” party for board members, key donors, and volunteers at the conclusion of the project.

Opportunity Details:

Location: JDRF New York City Chapter, 432 Park Avenue South, 15th Floor, New York, NY  10016(btwn. 29th & 30th Streets)

Time Commitment: Flexible

Duration: Until completion of project.

Times of day: Anytime between 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Days of week: Any day Monday – Friday
