The Rochester New York chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation was founded in 1996. Since then the organization has grown dramatically and currently raises more than $1,400,000 on a local level through donations, major gifts sponsorships and fundraising events. The Rochester Chapter includes the following counties: Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Yates, Chemung, Steuben, Livingston and Schuyler.
Our major fundraising events include the WALK TO CURE DIABETES in Rochester and the Southern Tier and the Hope for a Cure Gala in Rochester. In 2007 the WALK TO CURE DIABETES raised more than $700,000 in the Rochester and Southern Tier areas with the help of more than 300 WALK TEAMS!
