Each year, thousands come together from across Colorado and Wyoming to change the future for everyone living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). This fun, family-friendly event gives people with T1D and their friends, family and co-workers the opportunity to raise money for life-changing research and come together to celebrate a shared vision – a world without T1D.

Below you’ll find 4 easy tips for engaging your co-workers to Turn Type One into Type None.

1. Take the first step in welcoming JDRF One Walk^® into your corporate family and make JDRF a part of your culture. Team captains recruit other walkers and inspire them to raise money for T1D research. You serve as a leader, set your team’s fundraising goal, help your team members meet it—and have a lot of fun along the way. And JDRF provides tools, tips and other resources to help you build a successful team.
2. Encourage employees to fundraiser by joining your JDRF One Walk, engage customers and vendors.

BONUS TIP: Double down on your impact on type 1 diabetes! Talk to your human resources department to find out if your company participates in our matching gift program or search the matching gift database. You can double or even triple your fundraising contribution to JDRF.

3. One Walk is a great opportunity for you to increase employee engagement even further! JDRF One Walk is the perfect way to increase employee engagement, unify your team and build camaraderie. Forming a JDRF One Walk Corporate Team can help you do just that! In addition to supporting your employees, JDRF One Walk allows you to create positive change in your community—and reach your organization’s philanthropic goals. You can encourage your employees to take their support of JDRF to the next level by encouraging them to volunteer their time at the two Colorado events or take on leadership roles through our Committees.
