Each year since Jake Lamb and Dominic DeNardi were 7 years old, they’ve held a Coronado neighborhood Lemonade Stand fundraiser with all the proceeds going directly to JDRF. Jake’s had type 1 diabetes since he was 20 months old. Dominic and Jake make many gallons of fresh lemonade using lemons donated from neighbors’ trees, while family and friends donate fresh baked goods to the stand. Over the years the lemonade stand has become a well-attended favorite of the Coronado Community and has raised over $60,000. This year’s lemonade stand is scheduled for Sunday, October 15. Because they are both 17 this year and setting their sights on college, they’ve decided that this, the 10th year, will be their last and they would like to go out with a final BIG fundraising effort!
