INSPIRED TO FIND A CURE FOR DIABETES

The Piedmont Triad Chapter was founded in 1994 after Leslie Anne Hummel rode her bicycle across the country and raised over $65,000 for diabetes research in honor of her sister Elizabeth.Since then, our chapter has followed Leslie's heroic example, and the Piedmont Triad Chapter sponsors events and initiatives to raise money for research. In fiscal year 2002 over $1.5 million was raised for research to find a cure. more of our history>>

With your help, we are moving research from the laboratory bench to the patient's bedside, translating scientific advances into longer, healthier lives for those with diabetes. With your help, we are moving closer to our goal ... a cure for diabetes and its complications.
