On Saturday, April 14th, members of the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community came together to attend the JDRF Spring Gala with one goal in mind: creating a world without type 1 diabetes. The event was a resounding success, raising nearly $430,000 to fund type 1 diabetes research. None of this progress would have been possible without the tireless work of our Gala chairs, committee members, donors, attendees, and volunteers—we cannot thank you enough!

We were proud to honor three key members of the JDRF Western Wisconsin Chapter family: Maureen Berghoefer, Joe & Cindy Brady, and UW Health. These individuals received the Living and Giving Award for their incredible contributions to the Chapter. Another highlight from the night was hearing from our Fund A Cure family, the Pope family. Their story resonated with the room and inspired an incredible amount of donations. Thank you to the Maureen, Joe & Cindy, UW Health, the Pope family, and everyone who attended to support them!
