JDRF One Walk Spotlight on Wyeth’s Walkers – Salesforce

Mark Hawkins, CFO, Salesforce; Reese Goodenough; Nicole Friedland, Executive Director of JDRF Bay Area Chapter; Wyeth Goodenough, JDRF Greater Bay Area Chapter Board; Kevin O’Scanlon, Senior Development Manager at JDRF Bay Area Chapter

Wyeth Goodenough and his wife Sarah Rafanelli are the proud parents of three beautiful daughters: Sadie (9), Reese (7) and Ellis (4). Reese was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) on June 27, 2016, and while it has affected the whole family, it hasn’t slowed her down a bit. She plays competitive soccer and lacrosse, while sporting her Omnipod and Dexcom 5. Reese is also a budding star on the piano. Wyeth and Sarah are deeply inspired by their daughter’s strength and perseverance, as evident in the video below.

Wyeth currently serves on our JDRF Greater Bay Area Chapter Board. He is a Vice President at Salesforce, helping to drive the company’s Strategic Alliances. He has actively participated in JDRF events since Reese was diagnosed, and is motivated every day by the T1D community. Most recently, that community grew to include the Salesforce Ohana, the Hawaiian word the company uses to describe their supportive family-like culture. Mark Hawkins, CFO of Salesforce, is serving as Corporate Chair of the JDRF One Walk in San Francisco. Mark has also set a goal for Salesforce Walk teams across the U.S. to raise $250,000 in their first year of participation. Wyeth’s Walkers will be participating with the Salesforce Ohana at the Walk on the Great Meadow at Fort Mason in San Francisco on October 22.
