Each year, JDRF One Walk brings together thousands of people from around the Bay Area to change the future for people living with T1D by raising money for research. With their support, we are able to increase the amount of research we fund. Many people who walk have T1D themselves, and many more are friends, family or coworkers of someone challenged by this disease. But no matter what their connection is, they walk because they believe in a world without T1D.

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. We have some of the best ratings for an organization focused on a single disease from charity watchdog groups and media. People and companies donate to JDRF because we have a solid track record of funding research efficiently and effectively. Approximately 80% of what JDRF spends goes directly to T1D research and research-related education, which is among the highest percentages for charities nationwide.
