Diabetes 101- For Newly Diagnosed

Are you newly diagnosed and seeking to meet others in the type 1 diabetes (T1D) community and gain support? JDRF and Carb DM invite you to a morning of sharing and learning. Parents, caregivers, adults with T1D, children with T1D, and siblings are welcome to join.

For families and individuals who were diagnosed within the last two years.
Meet, mingle, share ideas, get support, and make friends.

Dr. Tariq Ahmad from UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, will give a talk on T1D, getting through your first years of diagnosis, and answer questions that you may have.

Learn about research, support, advocacy, and other fun events.

Kids will have the opportunity to play basketball, volleyball, and do arts & crafts.
