Obstacle Course with American Ninja Warrior Kyle Cochran, T1D

June 2, 2018, Palo Alto, CA
12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

More Info

American Ninja Warrior is a sports-based tv show that challenges well-trained athletes to perform increasingly difficult obstacle courses.

Like Type One Diabetes, these activities are physically and emotionally trying on the toughest of athletes – but they are never impossible. JDRF’s Silicon Valley One Walk Committee and Stanford University are pulling together an obstacle course and potluck picnic for children and families living with type one to show off their strengths and prove they have what it takes to manage T1D.

The grills will be fired up with hot dogs (veggie option too) – we encourage participants to pack a picnic.

It will take training to maneuver the hurdles, pitfalls and walls set in their path. It will take courage, focus, drive and a bit of spunk to compete. Intended as a community builder leading up to the walk, this event will bring together all age groups for a done with school, summer kick-off!

Delta Tau Delta will be providing hot dogs and vegan dogs. Donations to JDRF appreciated!
