Come join Dr. Jeremy Pettus and JDRF for a virtual “happy hour”. Crack open a bottle of wine or pour yourself a martini while Dr. Pettus explains how alcohol effects your blood sugar and how best to manage it. We hope you can join us for what is bound to be a very informative, fun, and instructive session! This session is for adults living with type 1 diabetes (T1D).

Speaker Bio

 

Dr. Jeremy Pettus is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at UC San Diego School of Medicine Division of Endocrinology. Dr. Pettus enjoys empowering his patients through education. Diagnosed with T1D himself at age 15, Dr. Pettus has dedicated his career toward treating and educating others with the disease. He also works with the not-for-profit organization Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD.org), speaking at patient-centered conferences around the country. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his sons Cooper and Hudson, playing pranks, and composing awesome guitar melodies, including songs about T1D.
