HONOR THAT
SPECIAL MOM

IN YOUR LIFE

Dear Supporter:

As we approach Mother’s Day 2013, we’d like to invite you to join us in honoring that special mom in your life, while as we remember one exceptional mom who helped make JDRF the success it is—one of our founding members, Carol Lurie. Sadly, Carol died just a few months ago, but she leaves an inspiring legacy of hope and hard work on behalf of all families affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D).

The Carol Lurie Moms Fund reminds us that JDRF’s history is mom-made and allows us to honor the countless mothers who have helped move us closer to a world without T1D. Our T1D moms do so much for us, and we can honor their example to help others by making a gift to the fund.

Imagine your honor donation combined with those of the many people who witness the power of mom every day. It’s the perfect way to ensure that our momentum in the fight against T1D continues.

Mom-made. Mom-focused. Mom-powered. That’s JDRF.

So whether you love a mom with T1D, are a mom of someone with T1D, or are simply a mom who is touched by T1D, show your love this Mother’s Day. Let’s show all of our T1D moms what we all know to be true—investing in the power of mom will help propel us to a world without diabetes.

As a person with T1D and as a mom, I’m honored to have been elected to JDRF’s International Board of Directors last year to continue the legacy of motivated moms. In honor of Lee Ducat, Carol Lurie, and all of the other moms in the T1D family, let’s fuel T1D research through the Power of Mom!

Sincerely,
