#imthetype takes National Diabetes Awareness Month 2018 by Storm

This November, the T1D community spread the word about what it means to live with type 1 diabetes (T1D) using #imthetype in shared videos, photos and stories on social media. The T1D community, led by JDRF, used the campaign during National Diabetes Awareness month to talk about living with and managing a disease that  is still often misunderstood and misdiagnosed. #imthetype gained traction through hashtag usage from corporate partners, celebritiesathletes and everyday people living with T1D.

A special thank you to the National Diabetes Awareness Month sponsors including Medtronic,  Ford Motor Company,  Sparkling Ice, and Hanes who among other things, matched individual gifts made to JDRF during the month, helping drive fundraising success and momentum.
