We are pleased to announce that applications for JDRF 2019 Children’s Congress are now being accepted! JDRF’s highest profile advocacy event is JDRF Children’s Congress, held every two years in the nation’s capital. This year’s event will be held from July 8 – 10, 2019.

More than 160 kids with type 1 diabetes (T1D) from across the country, and around the world, will have the opportunity to urge the nation’s lawmakers to further funding for life-changing T1D research.

As participants in JDRF 2019 Children’s Congress, Delegates (each accompanied by a guardian) will have a unique and empowering opportunity to help our nation’s lawmakers understand what life with T1D is like. They will tell them why research will one day help create a world without T1D and the role the Federal Government plays in achieving that vision. Delegates will help educate Federal lawmakers and their staff on the significance of continued research funding, regulatory efforts to approve novel therapies, and the importance of affordability, choice, and coverage in terms of diabetes management drugs and devices. In addition to making a tremendous difference in the lives of people affected by T1D, the event is extremely fun and will result in new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
