Coronavirus and T1D: What You Should Know

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak is an emerging and rapidly evolving situation. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) characterized the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic.Ā 

Because COVID-19 and similar viral illnessesā€”such as the fluā€”can pose a serious risk for people with T1D, JDRF advises members of our community to take extra precautions to remain healthy.
