Parents of newly diagnosed children go through a lot. There are all the new things to learn, the worry about doing everything right, and the feeling of facing this uphill battle alone. That is why JDRF has created a program called T1D Connections, in which a parent of a Type 1 Child can reach out to support newly diagnosed families.  This is such an important role to guide these new families through their first year of living with T1D and get them connected to our amazing T1D family.
