JDRF One Walk Recap

in ,

Another JDRF One Walk is in the books – and it was an amazing one! Thank you to all sponsors, walkers, teams, and volunteers who helped make the One Walk possible, we appreciate you! Congratulations to Jen and Danny Meisenheimer for chairing a successful JDRF One Walk.

Walk set-up started days before the actual event, and we had plenty of help from our Corporate volunteers –  American Airlines, Ericsson, and Frost Bank were volunteer V1P’s! The walk was hosted on the Ericsson North America campus in Plano, and Ericsson employees volunteered during set up too! American Airlines and Frost Bank volunteers worked together to decorate tents.

Before the walk began, American Airlines hosted a craft at their team tent, and released their signature beach balls to the crowed.

The Camp Sweeney Scholarship winner was announced, Senior Youth Ambassadors received their cords, and V1P’s enjoyed breakfast from Taco Cabana in the Southwest Airlines V1P tent. Talk about a busy morning – even Rufus the bear made an appearance!

Corporate Chair, Danny Meisenheimer, attended the walk with his family and their team Cousins For A Cure!

Family team Champions for Coltman raised over $50,000! Colt cut the starting line ribbon and was cheered on by Target volunteers!
