TypeOneNation is right around the corner, and our theme this year is T1D Superheroes! The Summit will be held at the Gaylord Texan on January 28th! Our Keynote speaker will be Dr. Nicole Johnson, a longtime diabetes advocate who brought national attention to type 1 diabetes when she won the 1999 Miss America contest. Nicole has been hired as National Director of Mission for JDRF and focuses on the important psycho-social aspects of living with T1D. We will have breakout sessions and panels on meaningful topics such as What We’ve Learned about the Artificial Pancreas, Adulting with T1D, Heading Off to College, Nutrition and Insulin Management, Ask the Endo Panel, an Exercise Panel and much more!
