Over the past year, JDRF Eastern Pennsylvania volunteers and staff have made a positive impact in the lives of those living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). We can all take great pride in the work our chapter is doing to move the JDRF mission!

Outreach Program

Our T1D Community Connections program provided information, support and resources to 154 newly diagnosed children and 30 newly diagnosed adults. Roughly 290 people attended our TypeOneNation Summit for a day of learning, resources, and community connectivity (up from 98 last year!). Our School Nurse Engagement Program expanded to include six school districts.

Advocacy

We mobilized our chapter’s 5,300+ volunteer advocates to ensure JDRF legislative priorities were front of mind for Members of Congress. Our advocated were busy all year with “Promise to Remember Me” visits last fall and five New Member Visits!

One Walk

Our four JDRF One Walk events brought together over 12,000 members of our T1D community and raised in excess of $2.1 million for the JDRF mission!

Ride to Cure Diabetes

A whopping 30 riders raised over $140,000 last year through our JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes program!
