JDRF 2019 Children’s Congress will be held in downtown Washington, D.C., from July 8 – 10, 2019. Online applications are accepted from September 5 until the end of day on November 30, 2018.
About JDRF 2019 Children’s Congress
Applications for the JDRF 2019 Children’s Congress and now being accepted at cc.jdrf.org/apply-cc/. Potential Delegates must submit their application to JDRF Advocacy no later than the end of the day (11:59PM Eastern), on Friday, November 30, 2018. Applications submitted after this date will not be considered, and there are no exceptions. All applicant decision letters will be mailed by the middle of February, 2019.
Every two years, more than 160 children with type 1 diabetes (T1D) between the ages of 4 and 17 gather in Washington, D.C., to meet face-to-face with some of the top decision-makers in the U.S. Government. The selected Delegates represent all 50 states and the District of Columbia, as well as JDRF’s six International Affiliates.
As participants in JDRF Children’s Congress, Delegates have a unique and empowering opportunity to help Members of Congress understand what life with T1D is like, while forming lasting bonds with other kids from around the country who live with this autoimmune disease.
