Registration for the 2020 Ride to Cure Diabetes Season opens Wednesday, January 15th at noon via ride.jdrf.org. The 2020 Ride season boasts 5 incredible events across the country, including a brand new ride in Grand Rapids, Michigan. From first time riders to seasoned pros, there’s a little something for everyone so don’t miss out on this opportunity to join JDRF’s fastest growing program.

Join Barry Falcon for His 50th Ride in Amelia Island! This year, the Georgia Chapter’s very own Barry Falcon will be completing his 50th Ride event in Amelia Island, FL in October. After Barry’s son, Michael, was diagnosed with type one diabetes on Father’s Day 2002, Barry made it his mission to find a cure. After participating in the Walk, Barry completed his first JDRF Ride event in Monterrey, CA in 2004. After that first Ride, he was hooked and set a goal to participate in 50 Ride events by the time he turned 70. Barry will beat his initial goal this year by completing Ride #50 by age 68!

Since his involvement, Barry has raised $450,000 for JDRF and, through his relentless passion and energy, has helped the Georgia Ride program grow to be the #3 top fundraising program for our chapter with 73 riders raising over $370,000 in 2019.
