2020 Discovering the Cure Gala

We are proud to be honoring longtime supporter, Rob Curley, South Jersey Market President of TD Bank, at our South Jersey 2020 Discovering the Cure Gala on April 4, 2020. This will be an extraordinary event attended by more than 400 members of our community, representing some of our region’s leading business, civic, and cultural leaders. This year, we will also be honoring Dr. Shara Bialo as our Distinguished Service Recipient.

This black-tie optional event features a seated dinner, silent and live auctions, and world class entertainment, as well as fun elements such as our wine pull, lock and key boxes, and the newly instituted Golden Paddle. Last year, the South Jersey gala raised over $560,000 for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.

2020 One Promise Gala

We are proud to be honoring JDRF founder Lee Ducat at the Philadelphia 2020 One Promise Gala on April 18, 2020. This year’s co-chairs are Alan Miller, Chairman and CEO of Universal Health Services, Inc. and Norman Cohn, Chairman of Advertising Specialty Institute. JDRF turns 50 this year, and we will be spending this memorable evening celebrating the five decades of groundbreaking research and looking toward a future with one goal in sight—a cure for T1D.

The gala is attended by more than 500 members of our community. The black-tie event gala will feature silent and live auctions, a moving Fund A Cure program, and the well-known band London Bridge. Last year, the Philadelphia gala raised close to $1 million to create a world without T1D.

2020 Hope Ball

The Delaware 2020 Gala “One Night: Be the Momentum, Be the Progress, Be the Cure” is a special night where fun and philanthropy meet! To be held on April 25, 2020 at the historic HOTEL DU PONT in Wilmington, this gala brings together Delaware’s best and brightest, representing some of our region’s leading business, civic, and community leaders—all with a passion for finding a cure for T1D.

This black-tie event features a seated dinner, silent and live auction and a powerful program, capped off with our rocking after-party featuring the Dueling Pianos! Last year, the Delaware community came together and raised over $250,000 for T1D research.
